About
Hello!  My name is Nina and I have been playing music for almost 30 years!  I grew up studying piano starting with Suzuki and studying privately through college.  I also played the flute in symphonic band and alto saxophone in marching band during high school and continued to play the flute in the College Community Winds during my time at Oberlin.  I graduated from Oberlin with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education in 2008.  Since graduation I have been living and working in Oberlin as the Program Director for a local community theatre, The MAD* Factory (*music, arts, drama).  I work with children every day ranging in age from 5 through 18, teaching drama classes and directing musicals.  I also accompany the choirs for Firelands, Lorain, and Vermilion High Schools.  As somebody who teaches private lessons, I know the importance of productive practice and the difference it makes in student success.
