About
Hello! My name is Ciara McGuire, and I'm currently a student at Oberlin College and Conservatory in Ohio studying violin performance. In high school, I volunteered at a local elementary school in my hometown of Colorado Springs, Colorado, where I was the TA for the fourth and fifth grade orchestra. In this position, I learned how better to work with young students, and in addition to mentoring and performing with them, I eventually taught my own sectionals of advanced fifth graders. Through my experience as a TA, I also was able to teach six private students: four on violin and two on viola. It is my goal to one day become a professor of violin, and I hope to continue to gain experience through being a practice pal.
